VISITOR FROM BREAST CANCER SURVIVOR 2015 (HUSM)
Serdang, 10 September 2015, a total of 40 participants from Survivor Breast Cancer Support Group ,HUSM were visited Centre for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging.
The objective for this visit is to give exposure for latest treatment and protocol for breast cancer.
PERMODALAN NASIONAL BERHAD BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM IN COLLABORATION WITH MOBECOMM TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD
Serdang, 4th September 2015, the Center for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging UPM had joined the “Breast Cancer Awareness Programme" organised by Permodalan Nasional Berhad and Mobecomm Technologies Sdn Bhd located at Permodalan Nasional Berhad office, Level 3, Bangsar.
The objective of the program is to give exposures to visitors about the services offered in CDNI and as a way to promote the services.The visitors can also find out more about the services available in CDNI thus they will be exposed to cancer detection method using the machines available in CDNI. Besides that, visitors will also be offered with a promotional price of ultrasound examination introduced in CDNI.
VISITOR FROM EXPERT MISSON FROM INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY, VIENNA INTERNATIONAL CENTRE, AUSTRIA
Serdang, August 20th, 2015, Centre for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging UPM had received a visit on expert mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria.
This expert mission was invited to take part in the centre’s activities associated with diagnostic CT imaging, PET/CT and SPEC/CT at the national level. Both experts held a series of presentations and discussions on PET/CT training programs involving nuclear medicine radiologists from respective countries and exchange of ideas between the expert mission and nuclear medicine physicians UPM. In addition, the radiologists can also increase their knowledge in the field of nuclear medicine by visiting the facilities and machinery available in CDNI.
CME PROGRAMME ORGANIZED BY KUMPULAN PERUBATAN JOHOR
Serdang, 4 June 2015, a total of five representatives from Tokyo Unioversity of Science were visited Centre for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging UPM. The delegation were exposed on how the nuclear field were operated at DNIC UPM. The impact from this visit is both party can share and change the information about their expertise in medicine especially nuclear field between DNIC UPM and Tokyo University of Science.
VISITOR FROM SOUTHERN TOHOKU HOSPITAL GROUP, JAPAN
Serdang, 27 May 2015, a total of 83 students involve four lecturers from Terengganu Advance Technical Institute were brought to visit Centre for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging involving examination centre using MRI, PET CT and Ultrasound machine.
Student were exposed with nuclear imaging closely. Besides, student also can learnt about the function and use every machine at DNIC. They were also expose to the job that related with nuclear energy.
Serdang, 8th to 17th April 2015, a total of 13 UPM staff members had participated in a course called "Training MRI Application & Safety" organized by the Center for Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging in conjunction with Siemens Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
The course involves training on MRI machine, the basic things related to MRI systems, parameters and measurements in preparation for treatment using an MRI machine. The training course also includes practical and reasonable assessment.
