18F-FDG is a radiopharmaceutical used in the medical imaging modality positron emission tomography (PET). This radiopharmaceutical is known as analog sugar and will be injected to patient body to proceed the PET imaging diagnosis. { Click Here for more details about 18F-FDG }
For rest phase (45 minutes), Scan phase (30 minutes to 1 hour), Separation phase (45 minutes). Overall examination time: 2 hours to 2h 30mins.

These precaution steps apply for 1 day (After examination) only, to ensure the fully decay of 18F-FDG in the patient’ body. a)Keep distance for at least 1 meter apart. b)Prevent children to close the patient. c)Keep remind patient to drink plenty of plain water. d)Separate the toilets for patient and family (if there are more than 1 toilet) e)Separate the room for patient and family.
